My name is Ali Damar. I’m a web developer with over 20 years of experience — and the reason I built Senior Gig Guide has nothing to do with technology.

I was raised by my grandparents. They gave me everything — patience, values, time. Watching them navigate a world that moves faster every year, I kept asking myself: who is actually helping people like them?

Most technology content treats seniors as an afterthought — or worse, as people who simply “can’t keep up.” I knew from watching my grandparents that this was wrong. They were smart, experienced, and capable. They just needed someone to explain things without condescension, without jargon, and without assuming they had an IT department down the hall.

So I built Senior Gig Guide. Every guide on this site is written with one question in mind: would this actually help someone’s grandmother or grandfather take a meaningful step forward? If the answer isn’t yes, it doesn’t belong here.
